Young Gun Silver Fox

Based in London since 2012, Young Gun Silver Fox brings together British singer‑songwriter Andy Platts, who is also active with Mamas Gun, and American multi‑instrumentalist Shawn Lee, whose solo career and work with Ping Pong Orchestra preceded this joint project. The duo develops a songwriting style that sits between soft rock, R&B, jazz‑rock and West Coast pop, featuring tight vocal harmonies, supple rhythms, satin keyboards, fluid guitars and brass arrangements derived from the late‑1970s studio aesthetic. After an initial contact on MySpace in the mid‑2000s, Young Gun Silver Fox took shape in London and released the single "You Can Feel It", followed by the album West End Coast in 2015. They followed with AM Waves in 2018, Canyons in 2020—where the role of brass is strengthened—Ticket to Shangri‑La in 2022, and Pleasure in 2025. On stage as in the studio, Young Gun Silver Fox relies on a duo‑based approach where soul culture, melodic soft rock and a keen sense of arrangement intersect.
