Under the name Whiney, Will Hine has established himself on the British drum and bass scene, with a trajectory linked to Hospital Records, where he signed the track "No More" at age 18. Trained in classical instruments from a young age before turning to electronic music as a teen, Whiney has developed a style that ties the rhythmic tension of drum and bass to more melodic songwriting, with tracks that alternate luminous textures, tight basslines and more direct club dynamics. His universe ranges from liquid drum and bass to darker rollers and intersections with grime—a direction that became more apparent on releases with Subten and in his work with P Money. He has also collaborated with Inja and Example, building a discography conceived both for DJ mixes and for more structured formats. Active on club and festival stages, Whiney evolves his music while staying within the framework of British bass music, maintaining a balance between rhythmic effectiveness, vocal construction and detailed electronic production.
