Wayne Snow

Born in Nigeria and based in Berlin since 2013, Wayne Snow develops a writing style situated between neo-soul, alternative pop, electronica, jazz and Afro-futurist references, with a supple voice that glides between subdued grooves, syncopated rhythms and darker textures. His path takes shape on the Berlin scene at the crossroads of future jazz, nu-soul and electronic music, notably through collaborations with Max Graef, with whom he signs, among others, 'Under The Moon' and 'Red Runner', released on the EP Red Runner. Wayne Snow is also associated with the Moe Fabrik collective, in a context where contemporary jazz, broken beat and club production meet. His first album Freedom TV, released in 2017 on Tartelet Records, lays the foundations of a repertoire where modern soul, airy melodic lines and West African heritage mingle. Subsequently, Wayne Snow multiplies collaborations with producers and musicians from nearby scenes, among whom FKJ, Darius, Folamour, Crayon, Neue Grafik or Noah Slee. In 2021, he releases Figurine on Roche Musique, a more introspective record that prolongs this hybrid aesthetic between soul song, electronic pulsation and jazz colors.
