Benoît Dorémus

Born in Besançon in 1980 and having lived in the Doubs, the Bouches-du-Rhône and then Moselle before settling in Paris, Benoît Dorémus has since the early 2000s developed a French chanson writing attentive to daily life, with a taste for direct narratives, irony, intimate flaws and a diction close to spoken language. A guitarist and singer-songwriter, he first published Pas en parler in 2005, then Jeunesse se passe in 2007, at a time when Renaud’s support helped circulate his songs on the Francophone scene. He then followed with 2020 en 2010, while multiplying concerts in Paris venues and tours, sometimes as a supporting act, sometimes in more collective formats, notably alongside Alexis HK and Renan Luce. His career remains tied to a songwriter scene where writing remains central, as also shown by his occasional collaborations with Aldebert, Francis Cabrel or Claudio Capéo. After several years of maturation, En Tachycardie appeared in 2016, followed by Désolé pour les fantômes in 2022. Since 2023, Benoît Dorémus has formed with Alexis HK the stage duo Inavouable, extended by a joint album released in 2025, while continuing his solo acoustic concerts.
