Archimède
Originating in Laval, in the Mayenne, around brothers Nicolas and Frédéric Boisnard, Archimède has been part of the French pop‑rock scene since 2004, combining crisp guitars, carefully crafted melodies and French lyrics. The project first grew on stage, in their region and then across the country, before the first album, Archimède, was released in 2009. The band followed with Trafalgar in 2011, Arcadie in 2014, Méhari in 2017, then Pop Decennium in 2019, a live record revisiting their first ten years, and Frères in 2023. While Archimède’s core rests on the Boisnard duo, the lineup also becomes a full band in concert. Over the years Archimède has moved between French pop and rock venues, notably opening for Hubert‑Félix Thiéfaine and on Bénabar’s 2012 tour, while also writing for other performers — including the song 'À l’abri du monde' for Johnny Hallyday in 2012. Archimède thus maintains a steady trajectory, balancing studio albums, live activity and songwriting.
