Thomas Stenström
Born in 1988 in Uddevalla on Sweden’s west coast, Thomas Stenström writes and sings Swedish pop that is text-centred, combining immediate melodies, pop-rock choruses and a more intimate songwriter sensibility. Active since the early 2010s, he released his debut album Nåt annat, nån annanstans in 2012, and gained wider visibility with Fulkultur in 2014, featuring a more frontal sound and Swedish-language songs that established his identity. Subsequent releases show broader, more collective writing: Rör inte min kompis (2017), produced by Björn Yttling, followed by Dreamer (2019) and Spring, baby, spring (2021). Stenström operates in a register that blends guitar-driven pop, synthetic touches and sentimental or urban vignettes, while retaining a highly accessible song format. Over the years he has collaborated with artists such as Silvana Imam, Amanda Jenssen, NEIKED, First Aid Kit and Miriam Bryant, remaining part of the mainstream Swedish pop scene. His discography continues with Superlativ 97 in 2023 and Sverige in 2025, where his writing opens up more to themes related to contemporary Sweden.
