Moonica Mac
Under the name Moonica Mac, Lisa Linnea Brolander has developed since 2017 a project of Swedish pop with an intimate tone, nourished by folk and a singer‑songwriter approach focused on lyrics and melody. Born in 1990 in Dalarna and raised in Torsång near Borlänge, Moonica Mac first released several singles before issuing a debut album, Stark & sårbar, in 2019, followed by Part Two in 2022. Her stage name, formed from Monica Zetterlund and Fleetwood Mac, points to a world where Scandinavian pop remains restrained, sensitive and direct, without heavy-handed effects. Moonica Mac has gradually established herself on the Swedish scene through her own releases and tours, and gained wider visibility by taking part in the 2021 TV programme Så mycket bättre; the covers she recorded there were also released on an EP the same year. Her career also includes a tour with Miss Li in 2020 and a shared track with Benjamin Ingrosso, Det stora röda huset, released in 2021. Moonica Mac thus operates between contemporary singer-songwriter material, subtly orchestrated pop and occasional collaborations, in a format that keeps interpretation at the centre.
