The Wrecks

Formed in 2015 in Thousand Oaks, California, and later based in Los Angeles, The Wrecks today bring together Nick Anderson, Nick Schmidt, Aaron Kelley and Billy Nally — four musicians from different backgrounds across New York, New Jersey and Wisconsin. They first drew attention with the single "Favorite Liar" and the self-released EP We Are The Wrecks in 2016, before broadening their palette on Panic Vertigo in 2018. Their music moves between alternative rock, pop-punk, indie rock and pop rock, featuring very melodic choruses, punchy guitars and, over subsequent releases, a more pronounced role for synthetic textures and atmospheres that sometimes verge on electropop or dream pop. After several tours on the American indie-rock circuit, including stints alongside Nothing But Thieves, All Time Low, The Maine and Silversun Pickups, The Wrecks issued their debut album Infinitely Ordinary in 2020 and the EP Static that same year. Their second album, Sonder, arrived in 2022 with more mobile, introspective songwriting and continued the evolution of the band's sound. In 2025 The Wrecks opened a new chapter with INSIDE:, presented as the first half of their third album.
