The Vintage Caravan

Originating from Álftanes, Iceland, The Vintage Caravan took shape in 2006 around Óskar Logi Ágústsson and drummer Guðjón Reynisson, who were both 12 at the time, before the band became more structured from 2009 and evolved into a trio with the arrival of bassist Alexander Örn Númason in 2012. The Vintage Caravan develops a hard rock sound nourished by psychedelic rock, blues rock and progressive rock, with songwriting marked by the tones of 1960s and 1970s classic rock — between thick riffs, sung melodies and more atmospheric passages. After a first self-released eponymous album in 2011, the band released Voyage in 2012, an album that reached a wider European audience following its reissue on Nuclear Blast in 2014. The Vintage Caravan then appeared on numerous rock and metal stages, including Roadburn and Wacken Open Air and later Hellfest, Resurrection Fest and Rock Werchter, while touring with Blues Pills, Avatarium and Opeth. In 2015, Stefán Ari replaced Guðjón Reynisson on drums at the time of the release of Arrival; this was followed by Gateways (2018), Monuments (2021) and Portals (2025).
