Showtek

Showtek is a Dutch production and DJ duo based in Eindhoven, comprising brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen, initially associated with the hardstyle scene before gradually shifting their work toward house and electronic pop. Active since the early 2000s, the two brothers first made a name for themselves on the European hard dance circuit, releasing maxi singles and delivering sets characterized by a fast, percussive and melodic sound. This initial period culminated with the albums Today Is Tomorrow (2007) and Analogue Players in a Digital World (2009), which cemented Showtek's hardstyle signature before a deliberate move toward a more mainstream EDM format. From the early 2010s, Showtek increased collaborations with artists such as Tiësto, Hardwell, Justin Prime and David Guetta and established themselves on the main stages of international festivals. The duo's style combined structures designed for large dancefloors, direct melodic lines and sung choruses, while retaining an energy inherited from their hardstyle productions. With their label Skink Records and a steady output of singles and remixes, Showtek continues to occupy a space at the intersection of club culture, vocal pop and festival sounds.
