SDP

Formed in Berlin-Spandau in 1999 by Vincent Stein and Dag-Alexis Kopplin, SDP initially operated under the name Stonedeafproduction before settling on the abbreviation SDP. The German duo, with Vincent Stein also active as a producer under the name Beatzarre, developed a German-language repertoire at the intersection of crossover, pop, rock and hip-hop. Their songs range from party tracks to ballads and feature lyrics that blend everyday life, satire and social commentary. After several early-2000s releases, SDP broadened their audience in 2010 with “Ne Leiche,” recorded with Sido. SDP’s discography includes Die bekannteste unbekannte Band der Welt (2012), Bunte Rapublik Deutschpunk (2013), Zurück in die Zukunst (2015), Die bunte Seite der Macht (2017), Die unendlichste Geschichte (2019) and Ein gutes schlechtes Vorbild (2022). On stage, SDP present themselves as a duo supported by live musicians in a format that mixes rap, singing, guitars and pop production. Their career has largely unfolded in the German-speaking area, with tours in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, collaborations with artists like Sido and Bela B, and a participation in the TV show Sing meinen Song in 2022.
