Gestört aber GeiL
Formed in Sangerhausen, Saxony-Anhalt, Gestört aber GeiL brings together Nico Wendel and Spike*D around a sound positioned between deep house, electro house and electronic pop. The duo emerged in the early 2010s on the German club scene, first with remixes and edits and later with original productions built on supple house rhythms, highly approachable melodies and a strong emphasis on vocals. Gestört aber GeiL then gained visibility across the German-speaking area with tracks such as "Ich & Du", recorded with Sebastian Hämer, and their reinterpretation of "Unter meiner Haut" with Koby Funk, derived from a song by Elif — two milestones that aptly summarise their approach to bringing pop songwriting into a dancefloor context without tipping into a harder techno aesthetic. Over the years Gestört aber GeiL have developed a direct sound focused on choruses, clear electronic textures and formats suited to both clubs and festivals, while remaining connected to the German, Austrian and Swiss scenes.
