Sarah Dawn Finer
Born in Stockholm in 1981, Sarah Dawn Finer moves at the crossroads of pop, soul and gospel, with songwriting centered on the song and a performance shaped by Scandinavian and Anglo-Saxon vocal traditions. Trained from an early age in gospel choirs and later active as a backing singer and studio musician in Sweden, she established herself in the mid-2000s with a first EP in 2005 before releasing the album A Finer Dawn in 2007, propelled by the track I Remember Love. She then followed with Moving On in 2009, Winterland in 2010, En riktigt god jul with Malena Ernman in 2011, and Sanningen kommer om natten in 2012, confirming a repertoire that alternates soulful ballads, orchestral pop, and formats more rooted in Nordic Christmas tradition. On stage, Sarah Dawn Finer has also worked in musical theatre, notably in Rent, Jekyll & Hyde and Cabaret, while developing a steady television presence in Sweden as host, actress and performer. Her career remains closely tied to Sweden's major popular stages, from Melodifestivalen to various entertainment programs, in a repertoire where song, vocal performance and the live experience occupy a central place.
