Sarah Connor

Born in 1980 in Delmenhorst and raised in northern Germany, Sarah Connor moved into a pop and R&B vein in the late 1990s heavily influenced by American soul. She first drew attention with the album Green Eyed Soul in 2001, followed by Unbelievable (2002) and Key to My Soul (2003), on which she developed a largely English-language repertoire mixing vocal ballads with more rhythmically driven tracks. Across subsequent records, notably Naughty but Nice (2005), Sexy as Hell (2008) and Real Love (2010), she consolidated a style centered on her voice, contemporary pop arrangements and themes concerning romantic relationships and private life. Occasional collaborations, for example with Wyclef Jean or Enrique Iglesias, reinforced this mainstream R&B orientation. Beginning with Muttersprache in 2015, Sarah Connor made a significant turn toward German‑language lyrics, continued with Herz Kraft Werke in 2019 in an aesthetic closer to adult pop, and later released the Christmas album Not So Silent Night in 2022. Regularly present on stage in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, she alternates tours, television projects and studio recordings while maintaining a link between international pop culture and German‑language song.
