Sleeping With Sirens
Formed in 2009 in Orlando, Florida, Sleeping With Sirens belong to the American post-hardcore scene with a sound that blends taut guitars, melodic choruses, pop-punk touches and moments leaning toward alternative rock. The band is built around Kellin Quinn, whose very high voice quickly became a defining element of Sleeping With Sirens, alongside Justin Hills and later Nick Martin, who joined in 2013, before Matty Best took over drums in 2019 and Tony Pizzuti joined on guitar in 2022. Composed of musicians who previously played in Paddock Park, For All We Know, Broadway and Underminded, the band emerged in the early 2010s with With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear (2010) and Let’s Cheers to This (2011), two records rooted in melodic post-hardcore with emo and metalcore edges. The subsequent discography, from Feel (2013) to Madness (2015) and Gossip (2017), shows songwriting more open to pop rock, before a return to a edgier formula on How It Feels to Be Lost (2019) and Complete Collapse (2022). Sleeping With Sirens have played the Warped Tour, both as headliners and sharing bills with acts like Pierce the Veil and The Used, and remain associated with a generation of American bands that bridged emo, pop-punk and modern rock.
