Philip George

Born in Nottingham under the name Philip George Woodhead, Philip George established himself on the British electronic scene in the mid-2010s with melodic house, flavored by deep house accents, built around vocal refrains and direct productions crafted for clubs as well as radio. Before this shift, Philip George released from 2010 tracks under the alias Woody in a liquid drum and bass style, notably via the Dutch label Liquicity, then gradually shifted his aesthetic toward a more upfront dance. This evolution takes shape with 'Wish You Were Mine' in 2014, a single based on a sample of Stevie Wonder's 'My Cherie Amour,' followed in 2015 by 'Alone No More' with Anton Powers. The rest of his career sees him continuing in an accessible vocal house format, with tracks like 'Feel This Way' with Dragonette in 2016, 'Losing My Mind' with Saint Raymond in 2017 and 'Same Love' with Salena Mastroianni in 2020. Parallel to his releases, Philip George also hosted a show on KISS FM until 2018, extending his footprint in the British club and dance ecosystem.
