Arvingarna
Formed in 1989 in Partille, in the Gothenburg area, Arvingarna brings together Lars “Lasseman” Larsson, Tommy Carlsson, Kim Carlsson and Casper Janebrink around a repertoire that sits between Swedish dansband, pop, schlager and rock-tinged influences. The name Arvingarna, which means “the heirs,” refers to the fact that several members come from families already connected to dance orchestras, notably Streaplers and Flamingokvintetten. After beginnings closer to hard rock, Arvingarna quickly developed a more melodic, radio-friendly identity with songs crafted for Sweden’s popular stage. The group gained wide recognition with “Eloise,” which won Melodifestivalen in 1993 and went on to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest that same year. Arvingarna have returned to the competition regularly — in 1995, 1999, 2002, 2019, 2021 and 2025 — marking several phases of their career. Their discography includes Coola killar (1992), Eloise (1993), För alltid (1995), I Do (2019) and Hundra dagar (2023). Over the years the band has also shifted activity from dance halls to seated concert formats, shows and stage tours, while their songwriting has remained rooted in Swedish pop.
