Patrice Bäumel

Settled in Amsterdam after growing up in Germany, Patrice Bäumel built his career on the Dutch club scene before expanding internationally as a DJ, producer and resident at Trouw, a key venue in Amsterdam’s nightlife. His music sits between melodic techno, deep house and progressive songwriting, with tracks based on repetition, slow builds and meticulous work on textures. Associated with the Kompakt label, he released several EPs there and the album The Hatchet’s House in 2016, a long-player that extends his club approach into broader structures. His activity alternates between productions, remixes and DJ sets in clubs and electronic festivals across Europe and worldwide. In both his sets and productions, Patrice Bäumel favors crisp rhythms, elongated melodic lines and hypnotic atmospheres, balancing dancefloor effectiveness with a more introspective tension.
