Mono Inc.

Formed in Hamburg in 2000, Mono Inc. work within a dark rock that blends alternative rock, gothic textures and melodic choruses, with songwriting focused on dark atmospheres, loss, rupture and resilience. The band emerged around Miky Mono, Martin Engler and Carl Fornia after earlier collaborations under the names Wild Thing and Mono 69. After Head Under Water (2004), the group’s balance shifted in 2006 when Martin Engler moved from drums to lead vocals, and Katha Mia joined on drums in 2007. This lineup began a regular sequence of albums with Temple of the Torn (2007), Pain, Love & Poetry (2008) and Voices of Doom (2009), while building their presence on rock and gothic stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as at festivals. Mono Inc. later broadened its palette with Viva Hades (2011), After the War (2012), Nimmermehr (2013) and Terlingua (2015), alternating English songs with excursions into German. The discography continued with Together Till the End (2017), Welcome to Hell (2018), The Book of Fire (2020) and Ravenblack (2023). Over the years Mono Inc. has also carried out extensive tours and various one‑off collaborations, notably with Joachim Witt, Tilo Wolff, Chris Harms and Ronan Harris.
