Lord Of The Lost
Founded in Hamburg in 2007 by singer and songwriter Chris Harms, Lord Of The Lost operates within a dark rock and gothic metal aesthetic that incorporates industrial, electronic, and occasionally pop elements. Initially a solo project, Lord Of The Lost soon became a fully fledged band centered around Chris Harms, guitarist Pi Stoffers, bassist Class Grenayde, multi-instrumentalist Gared Dirge, and drummer Niklas Kahl, active across the European rock and metal circuit from clubs to major specialist festivals. The release of Fears in 2010 marked the start of a steady discography, continued with Antagony (2011), Die Tomorrow (2012), and From the Flame into the Fire (2014), which established a sound combining heavy guitars, deep vocals, and melodic choruses. With Swan Songs (2015), Lord Of The Lost explored a slower, orchestral, and more cinematic reinterpretation, followed by the more narrative concepts of Empyrean (2016), Thornstar (2018), and Judas (2021). In 2022, the album Blood & Glitter affirmed a glam- and synth-driven direction, from which came the track the band presented to represent Germany at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
