Médine
Médine is a French rapper from Le Havre. Médine Zaouiche began his musical career with the collective La Boussole before launching a solo career in 2004 with the album "11 Septembre." Openly identifying with Islamism, he gradually established himself with profound, critical tracks: his songs dissect the practice of Islam, its virtues as well as its contradictions. In 2005 he released his second album, controversially titled "Jihad," followed by the concept album "Table d'Ecoute" in 2006. Médine made his mark on the French rap scene with politically engaged lyrics, positioning himself as a lyric-driven artist. In 2013 he released his eighth album, "Protest Song," with which he performed at the Olympia and played numerous concerts.
