Les Fils du Facteur

Born in Switzerland in 2014, Les Fils du Facteur first formed as a duo centered on guitar and accordion, taking an acoustic francophone song approach focused on the lyrics. Before settling on stages and in the studio, they spent a lot of time playing in the streets, in bars and at parties — a path that informs their straightforward songwriting and a very concrete relationship with audiences. Their music rests on supple melodies, arrangements that are initially stripped-down and grow more expansive over time, and lyrics that combine observations of daily life, broader questions and a subtle irony without overstating effects. Originally carried by a light format, the project later expanded with the arrival of two additional musicians, evolving the sound toward a denser four-piece more open to diverse influences while retaining a foundation in popular acoustic song. Singing in French, the Swiss group Les Fils du Facteur gradually extended their activity beyond their country with concerts in France, Belgium and Canada.
