Kraftklub

Rooted in Chemnitz in the former East Germany, Kraftklub have, since 2010, established themselves as a band that blends indie rock, punk, and rap energy in German. The quintet—led by singer Felix Kummer alongside Karl Schumann, Steffen Israel, Til Brummer, and Max Marschk—cultivates a forthright writing style focused on the everyday lives of younger generations, the social realities of eastern Germany, and the codes of pop culture. Taut guitars, chanted choruses, and verses with an almost rap-like delivery shape a stage-built band sound that places Kraftklub at the crossroads of club rock and urban music culture. After a well-received EP, the band released the album Mit K in 2012, followed by In Schwarz in 2014, Keine Nacht für Niemand in 2017, and Kargo in 2022, all centered on German-language lyrics. Present at major German-speaking festivals and across a dense network of venues, Kraftklub maintain a strong live identity, spanning club shows, tours across German-speaking Europe, and regular appearances at flagship rock events.
