Kid Cudi
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1984, Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi is known as Kid Cudi, a rapper, singer and producer associated with a melodic, introspective form of hip‑hop. Settling in New York in the mid‑2000s, he first drew attention with the mixtape A Kid Named Cudi (2008), which caught Kanye West's eye and led to his inclusion in the GOOD Music circle. His debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day (2009), established a sound that blends rap, singing, electronic touches and psychedelic atmospheres, continued by Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager (2010). Kid Cudi then moved into more experimental territory with Indicud (2013), Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon (2014) and the notably rock Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven (2015), before returning to a more hybrid rap approach on Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' (2016). At the same time he formed the duo Kids See Ghosts with Kanye West for a joint album in 2018, revived his concept series with Man on the Moon III: The Chosen (2020), and followed with Entergalactic (2022) and INSANO (2024). Active on international rap and pop stages, Kid Cudi has developed a style centered on sung vocals, mid‑tempo rhythms and themes of solitude, relationships and mental health.
