Hollywood Vampires

Born in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Vampires project brings together singer Alice Cooper, actor and guitarist Johnny Depp, and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry in a tribute to the rock heroes of the 1960s and 1970s. The name Hollywood Vampires refers to the informal drinking club Cooper used to frequent on the Sunset Strip in the early 1970s, a through-line for a repertoire that mixes covers and original compositions. On their self-titled debut Hollywood Vampires (2015), the band reinterprets songs by Led Zeppelin, The Who, T. Rex and former Beatles members, delivering a dense hard rock/classic rock sound sometimes tinged with blues and featuring several guest musicians from the international rock scene. With Rise (2019), Hollywood Vampires gave greater prominence to their own material while maintaining a direct songwriting approach built around riffs and collective vocals. Tours across Europe, North America and South America, plus a Rock in Rio performance documented on Live in Rio (2023), have placed Hollywood Vampires on the circuit of major international rock festivals.
