Kadebostany
Founded in 2008 in Geneva, the Kadebostany project brings together around Swiss producer and composer Guillaume de Kadebostany a universe of electronic pop conceived as an imaginary republic, featuring marching band imagery, uniforms and a cinematic aesthetic. The group develops a hybrid pop in which highly structured melodies, film-music influences, marching-band elements, indie touches and refined electronic rhythms intersect, carried by a succession of guest vocalists who give each period a different color. After a first album, Songs from Kadebostany (2011), the project gained visibility with Pop Collection (2013), which established the Kadebostany sound on various European stages, and later with Monumental (Chapter I) (2017), marked by more advanced work on orchestral textures and the contrasts between intimacy and collective energy. In concert, Kadebostany adapts its pieces between a live lineup rich in brass and a more electronic set, enabling the group to perform both in clubs and at festivals. Over the years, Kadebostany has multiplied vocal collaborations, alternative versions of its songs and acoustic or orchestral reinterpretations, consolidating a repertoire in which pop is treated as a malleable material rather than a fixed format.
