Jahneration

Formed in the early 2010s in Paris, Jahneration brings together two friends around a blend of reggae, hip‑hop and sounds close to dancehall. The duo first attracted attention online with videos and freestyles shared on social networks, before shaping a band project with musicians for the stage. Their first full‑length album, simply titled “Jahneration” and released in 2016, established an identity where sung lines, rapped flows and melodic choruses intersect over instrumentals influenced by roots and digital styles. Jahneration then followed with “Stuck in the Middle” in 2019 and “Higher” in 2021, expanding their palette to include introspective tracks, uptempo numbers and forays into urban pop. The songs, performed in English and French, fit within the continuity of the modern francophone reggae scene while engaging in dialogue with hip‑hop. On record and in concert, Jahneration multiplies collaborations—most notably with Naâman—and is regularly present on club and festival stages in France and across Europe.
