Vanupié

A former advertising professional in Paris, Vanupié shifted into music and gradually developed his singer-songwriter project within the French scene. He first became known in the Paris metro, where he built an acoustic repertoire blending soul, pop and touches of reggae, before being invited to perform in venues and festivals across France and then Europe. His writing alternates between English and French, with attention to vocal melodies and supple rhythms, often centered on guitar and spare arrangements. In 2013 the album Freebirds was released, capturing this soul-pop aesthetic tinged with reggae in the studio and positioning Vanupié in a more structured song format. Since then the musician has continued touring and recording, progressively expanding his repertoire while maintaining a voice-centered approach and close rapport with audiences. On stage Vanupié performs both solo and with accompanying musicians, offering versions of his songs adapted to the setting, from intimate spaces to large outdoor stages.
