Fox Stevenson

Between melodic drum and bass, energetic dubstep and vocal electronic pop, Fox Stevenson has developed a hybrid identity in which the voice plays a central role. Born Stanley Stevenson Byrne in 1992 in York, England, the artist first gained recognition in the early 2010s under the pseudonym Stan SB by releasing his initial tracks on YouTube and SoundCloud. Adopting the name Fox Stevenson marked an opening toward the international EDM scene, with regular releases on labels such as Monstercat, Spinnin’ Records and Disciple, and an active DJ schedule across clubs and festivals in Europe and North America. Fox Stevenson is distinguished by tracks where powerful basslines, rock-like structures and pop choruses blend with prominent vocals, balancing bright melodies and fast tempos. Collaborations with other producers from the bass-music sphere, notably on dancefloor-oriented formats, coexist with songs that lean closer to electronic songwriting. This evolution culminated in his debut album, Killjoy, released in 2019, which synthesizes the different facets of Fox Stevenson—from vocal drum and bass to a more pop-oriented writing—while remaining rooted in an accessible electronic aesthetic.
