Muzz

Mustafa Alobaidi, born in Hampshire in the United Kingdom and first known as Muzzy before adopting MUZZ in 2020, has been developing a project focused on drum and bass, drumstep and dubstep since the late 2000s. An English artist of Iraqi origin, Muzz drew early attention with 'X No Way Out' in 2010 on UKF, then established himself within the Monstercat ecosystem, where several EPs were released, from Letz Rock (2012) to The Cascade (2018). Muzz's music combines a fast drum and bass foundation, heavier sequences rooted in bass music and melodic passages that sometimes verge on liquid DnB, with a marked taste for dark atmospheres and cinematic constructions. His path also includes Liquicity, notably through collaborations with Voicians and Delta Heavy, while other tracks pair him with Koven, Feint, Droptek, Skyelle or Celldweller. Muzz later released The Promised Land in 2020, his first studio album, followed by The X Saga in 2022, a remix album built around his own catalogue.
