Iglooghost
Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1996 as Seamus Rawles Malliagh, Iglooghost developed his project at the intersection of internet culture, electronic production and visual work before settling in Shaftesbury, England. Active since the mid‑2010s, Iglooghost first attracted attention with Treetunnels in 2014, then with the EPs Chinese Nü Yr (2015) and Little Grids (2016), released on labels such as Error Broadcast, Activia Benz and especially Brainfeeder. His music blends experimental electronic, IDM, abstract hip‑hop, glitch, drum and bass, grime and bass music, featuring highly segmented tracks, fast tempos and a strong narrative dimension. This taste for fictional worlds also runs through his graphic work, which Iglooghost designs himself. The debut album Neō Wax Bloom was released in 2017, followed by the EPs Clear Tamei and Steel Mogu in 2018 and Lei Line Eon in 2021. In parallel, Iglooghost is part of the trio Gloo with Kai Whiston and BABii, a collective project between mutant electronics, warped pop and club music, whose album XYZ came out in 2019. On stage as in the studio, Iglooghost operates in an area where sound writing, image and fiction advance together.
