HollySiz

Born in Paris, HollySiz is the stage name under which Cécile Cassel has been developing since the late 2000s a solo project focused on English-language pop with touches of indie rock, new wave and electro. Initially active as an actress in film and television during the 2000s, with appearances in Le Premier Jour du reste de ta vie, Clara Sheller and Sex and the City, HollySiz gradually made music her primary pursuit in the early 2010s. Her debut album, My Name Is, was released in 2013 and established a sound built on immediate hooks, tense guitars and straightforward pop songwriting, notably driven by the track 'Come Back to Me.' HollySiz continued on this path with Rather Than Talking in 2018, an album where the synthetic, danceable element became more prominent, and with the EP Thank You All I'm Fine in 2021. On stage, HollySiz champions a tight pop formula—both rhythmic and melodic—that extends this blend of light rock, new wave energy and more electronic production without abandoning the song format.
