HO99O9

Formed in Newark, New Jersey, in 2012, Ho99o9 is a duo made up of theOGM and Eaddy that creates an abrasive fusion of hardcore punk, rap and industrial sounds. Soon based in Los Angeles, Ho99o9 became part of a scene blending hip-hop culture, American hardcore heritage and horror-film references, with a distinctive visual universe and lyrics addressing political and social themes. After several EPs released from 2014, including Mutant Freax and Horrors of 1999, the project released its first full-length album, United States of Horror, in 2017, establishing an aesthetic of trap rhythms, saturated guitars and shouted or chanted vocals. Ho99o9 followed with concerts and tours across punk, metal and rap circuits, sharing bills with acts from those different spheres and building a strong live reputation. In 2018 the mixtape Cyber Cop [Unauthorized MP3.] extended the duo’s more electronic and industrial side. With Skin, released in 2022 and co-produced in part by Travis Barker, Ho99o9 further emphasized the crossover between aggressive rap, digital punk and dark atmospheres, confirming a hybrid approach that circulates among rap, hardcore and noise communities in the United States and Europe.
