King Yosef

Based in Portland, Oregon, King Yosef stands at the crossroads of industrial music, hardcore metal and dark rap, blending screamed vocals, trap‑like rhythms and abrasive electronic textures. Active since the mid‑2010s, King Yosef initially released his tracks online, gravitating toward the American underground scene where hip‑hop producers, hardcore bands and noise artists converge. This work gradually opened doors to punk and metal tours as well as clubs focused on heavy electronic music, where King Yosef performs both in full live setups and solo. His sound rests on structures inherited from metal and hardcore, but treated with an aesthetic close to bass music and industrial hip‑hop, with a central emphasis on voice and shifts in dynamics. In 2021 King Yosef reached a new stage by releasing the collaborative album A Skeleton Key in the Doors of Depression with the American duo Youth Code, which consolidated his position in a space shared by EBM, industrial music and extreme cultures, while he continued to release multiple EPs and digital singles under the name King Yosef.
