Henry Saiz
Born in Madrid as Enrique Saiz Gonzalez, Henry Saiz initially trained in a different register, playing bass in the Spanish metal band Nahemah—appearing on the 2001 album Chrysalis—before turning to electronic music in the mid‑2000s. He developed a compositional voice located between progressive house, melodic techno, electronica, IDM and psychedelic touches, with tracks built on atmospheric pads, steady rhythms and a marked focus on texture and mood. His first releases appeared as early as 2006, and he went on to publish on imprints such as Global Underground, Paradigma Musik, Renaissance and Bedrock, quickly making his name on club and festival scenes associated with progressive house aesthetics. Alongside his DJ activity, he founded the label Natura Sonoris as a space for his own productions and those of other artists. His debut album, Reality Is For Those Who Are Not Strong Enough To Confront Their Dreams, was released in 2013, followed notably by Human in 2018 with Henry Saiz & Band. Across these formats, Henry Saiz has developed an electronic approach that is at once narrative, club‑oriented and contemplative, nourished by live performance, sound design and a constant taste for hybrid forms.
