Guy Mantzur

Based in Tel Aviv, Guy Mantzur has developed since the 2000s a body of work situated between progressive house, melodic techno and tech house, with a production approach centered on hypnotic textures, melodic lines and steady grooves. The Israeli producer and DJ founded the Plattenbank label in 2009, an important landmark in his career, alongside releases on electronic labels such as Sudbeat, Bedrock and Lost & Found. His discography includes the album Moments (2013), Time (2014) with Sahar Z, Children With No Name (2016) with Khen and A Guy in Itajai (2018). These collaborations illustrate Guy Mantzur’s place within an electronic current where the club format meets a more atmospheric, narrative approach. In both his productions and DJ sets, he combines precise rhythms, slow progressions and melodic tension that place him within the continuum of Tel Aviv’s house and techno scene, while circulating within an international network of club-oriented electronic music.
