Dave Seaman
Born in 1968 and originally from Leeds in West Yorkshire, Dave Seaman has been part of the British electronic scene since the early 1990s with a career linking music journalism, DJing and production. After spells at DMC Publishing and on the editorial staff of Mixmag, he developed a parallel club activity focused on progressive house, deep house, tech house and a restrained techno strand, built around long, narrative sets. During the 1990s he formed Brothers in Rhythm with Steve Anderson, later joined by Alan Bremner, and took part in production and remix work for pop and electronic artists. Seaman went on to found the Audio Therapy label before co‑running Selador Recordings with Steve Parry, a label associated with melodic house and techno. His discography includes several notable mixes, including Renaissance Vol. 4 (1996), Global Underground: Buenos Aires (1999), Global Underground: Cape Town (2000), Global Underground: Melbourne (2002) and Beyond Borders: Berlin (2015). Between club appearances, mix compilations and solo releases, Dave Seaman has maintained a steady presence on the international circuits linked to progressive house and electronic club forms.
