Eric Sneo
Active in the German techno scene since the mid-1990s, Eric Sneo, real name Eric Schnecko, has built a career rooted in a direct, percussion-driven, functional techno style, with a focus on the energy of the dancefloor and on efficient structures. A DJ since 1994, he became in 1998 a resident of the Palazzo in Bingen, where the Tanz der Familie universe took shape, later a name associated with several of his productions. Eric Sneo also works in broader electronic and studio contexts, participating in projects tied to German pop dance of the 1990s, notably around Captain Jack. In 2002, he founded with Udo Niebergall the labels Masters Of Disaster and Beatdisaster, which release his tracks as well as those of other techno producers. His discography, documented on Discogs and reference platforms, spans numerous maxis and tracks such as Ciao Bella, Tube Tech or Tanz der Familie 2009. On stage, Sneo combines his DJ set with a live dimension that sometimes incorporates drums, percussion or accordion, in a rare but coherent approach with his initial musical training. He has appeared at events like Nature One or Mayday, in a circuit blending clubs and large electronic festivals.
