Ellinoora
Born in Oulu in 1994 as Anni Ellinoora Leikas, Ellinoora established herself in Finnish pop in the early 2010s with a Finnish‑language repertoire focused on songwriting. After a first single released in 2013, she quickly redirected her project toward songs she writes and signs herself, and gained visibility with «Ei hävittävää (AEIOUAO)» in 2015. Her trajectory has since been built around melodic, narrative pop, where ballads, carefully written choruses and more contemporary arrangements coexist while remaining within an accessible format. Ellinoora developed a lasting collaboration with Samuli Sirviö, particularly evident on the albums Villi lapsi (2016), Vaaleanpunainen vallankumous (2019), Viimeinen romantikko (2021) and Melankolisten laulujen klubi (2025). Alongside her solo career, she also writes for other Finnish artists and appears on several collaborations, notably with Gasellit, Juha Tapio and Ed Sheeran on the Finnish version of «2step» in 2022. Her presence is expressed through both touring and television, with appearances on Vain elämää and the collective tour Mestarit, placing Ellinoora within a Finnish pop landscape that is both mainstream and strongly author‑driven.
