Allan Theo
Born Allan Rouget in Saint-Amand-Montrond, in the Cher department, Allan Theo emerged at the end of the 1990s in a French variété register tinged with pop and rock, featuring straightforward melodic writing and songs conceived for the single format. Brought to public attention in 1998 by “Emmène-moi,” he followed with several tracks released around the same time before issuing the album Emmène-moi in 1998. His path then shifted toward a more personal approach, evident on Soupir (2002) with folk overtones, and on Theo (2007). In 2011, Reprends les armes marked a new phase, with Allan Theo taking a central role in the songwriting and composition. Over the years he alternated solo projects and collective ventures, notably with The Stern and later Orchestraa, where his universe opened to a more electro and orchestral aesthetic. He also took part in Génération Boys Band, a group assembled with other singers from the French pop scene of the 1990s, and joined the Born in 90 tour. In 2024 Allan Theo resumed his recording activity with the singles Guardalo, Sin compromiso and Tu y yo, in a more pronounced Latin-pop vein.
