Cheat Codes
Formed in Los Angeles in 2014 around KEVI, Trevor Dahl and Matthew Russell, Cheat Codes developed a trio format at the crossroads of EDM and pop, with songwriting focused on melodic choruses, accessible dance productions and regular forays into electro-pop. After an initial series of online releases in 2015, including “Visions” and “Adventure,” Cheat Codes reached a wider audience with “Sex” in 2016, produced with Kris Kross Amsterdam, and then with “No Promises” in 2017 alongside Demi Lovato. The project circulated across electronic stages and international pop circuits while expanding its roster of collaborations with artists such as Robin Schulz, David Guetta, Little Mix, Kim Petras, Kaskade and All Time Low. Cheat Codes released the EPs Level 1 in 2018 and Level 2 in 2019, before unfolding the triptych Hellraisers, Pt. 1 (2021), Hellraisers, Pt. 2 (2021) and Hellraisers, Pt. 3 (2022), where their aesthetic broadened to include rock, hip-hop and alternative pop. In 2023 Cheat Codes shifted direction again with One Night in Nashville, an album recorded with guests from the American country scene.
