ELLiS·D
Brought to the United Kingdom by Ellis Dickson, ELLiS·D took shape as a solo project in 2022 after several years spent behind the drum kit in British and European underground bands. The project develops a taut art‑punk sound where glam rock, post‑punk and gothic hues intersect, with tracks that progress through breaks, tempo changes and nervous climaxes. ELLiS·D writes and performs his material alone, notably on the EP Spill, recorded at Hackney Road Studios with Shuta Shinoda and released via the DIY label Crafting Room Recordings. In parallel with this project, Ellis Dickson continues to work as a session drummer for artists and bands such as Fat Dog, Johnny Borrell and Trip Westerns. On stage, ELLiS·D has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, with headline dates, appearances at Kendal Calling and Left of The Dial, and a European tour alongside Fat Dog. This trajectory has placed ELLiS·D on a live circuit where his solo work takes a direct, physical and highly rhythmic form.
