Happoradio

Born in Helsinki in 2001, Happoradio established itself on the Finnish rock scene with a Finnish‑language repertoire focused on melodic songs where guitars, bass, drums and keyboards support straightforward songwriting often tinged with pop melancholy. Happoradio began to attract attention in the early 2000s with the singles "Pahoille teille" and "Pois Kalliosta", before releasing a series of albums that chart its development — from Asemalla (2003) and Pienet ja keskisuuret elämät (2004) to Vuosipäivä (2006), Kaunis minä (2008) and Puolimieli (2010). Over the years the band refined an accessible rock format without abandoning a dark, introspective tone, as shown by tracks such as "Tavikset", "Che Guevara", "Ahmat tulevat" and "Pelastaja". Happoradio then continued with Elefantti (2014), Kauniin kääntöpiiri (2017) and Majakka (2021). Centered on singer and guitarist Aki Tykki, Happoradio functions as a full band with Mika "AH" Haapasalo, Jatu Motti, Markku DeFrost and Klaus Suominen.
