Deelee S

Hailing from southern France, Deelee S develops a French rap style shaped by American influences—particularly the West Coast—featuring bass-driven productions, dry rhythms and straightforward writing. Deelee S began writing in high school and gradually forged a register that blends old-school heritage, French rap and the more contemporary codes of trap. The trajectory became clearer in the early 2020s through several releases and collaborations with producers, including LV La Prudence. In 2022 Deelee S released R2D3, a project that highlights a taste for heavy textures and tracks built around a clean flow and tightened diction. In 2024 Saison Chaude marked a new step in the artist’s evolution, with a more assertive format and a more visible stage presence. Deelee S then appeared in contexts linked to the new francophone rap scene, notably at the Grünt Festival, where a frontal, dark and tense aesthetically anchored rap continues the throughline of the work.
