Leo SVR

From Saint-Vincent-de-Reins on the outskirts of Lyon, Leo SVR develops French rap rooted in contemporary productions, with direct writing and a marked taste for fusing trap, rhythms inspired by Detroit and Atlanta, and sampling linked to the history of francophone rap. Leo SVR drew attention with the track Manita, then followed up with SVR EFFECT, which introduced a tighter format centered on his placement technique and a deliberately mobile tone—between precision, nonchalance and shifts in cadence. With Rap Instinctif Apologie, a five-track project, Leo SVR continues this line while opening it up to a few collaborations with DEELEE S, Celestino and Beeby. The whole paints a still-compact but already coherent trajectory, where Leo SVR articulates his rural origins and his grounding in contemporary rap codes, favoring short, tense tracks built around a flexible delivery and constant attention to production.
