Maïcee
Based between Paris and London, Maïcee develops a project at the crossroads of alt-pop and electronic music, with direct songwriting, taut pop choruses and productions that borrow as much from the club as from a more abrasive dark pop. Maïcee emerged in the mid-2020s with a sound marked by heavy bass, broken rhythms and a chanted delivery, in songs that address self-assertion, mental health and contemporary tensions without resorting to an ornate lyrical register. Her discography centers on the EP i think my brain is weirD (2023), followed by Been High Lately... (2024) and ...and down (2025), a body of work that shows a taste for contrasts between upfront energy, more introspective moods and formats designed both for listening and for the stage. Live, Maïcee presents this repertoire in contexts blending alternative pop and electronic music, with noted appearances in Brighton at The Great Escape and on stages in Seoul, London and Paris. She is thus part of a francophone and international pop scene attentive to hybrids between chanson, club culture and electronic experimentation.
