CHÉRI

At the crossroads of techno-pop, alternative pop and electro-pop, CHÉRI is building a French-language project rooted in Spanish heritage and marked by a strong taste for variété, opera, pop and rap. Chéri emerged with the EP Pour te toucher, released in 2022, produced after several months of work with composers and producers such as Bastien Burger and Nino Vella. This debut format outlines a distinct aesthetic—between electronic textures, pop melodies and flamenco accents—with lyrics focused on the body, desire, melancholy and the night. Chéri’s trajectory continued with a second EP and several collaborations with artists from the French pop and rap scenes, including Chilla, Joanna, Lord Esperanza, Bagarre and Kalika. This path places Chéri within a contemporary scene where French chanson converses with more hybrid and upfront productions. Chéri also won the Sziget Festival’s talent contest, securing a scheduled performance on a festival stage in Budapest, and a first album has been announced for 2025.
