Murphy's Law (UK)

In Leicester, brothers Sonny and Finn Murphy have been developing their joint project Murphy's Law (UK) since the late 2010s. The duo centers on a supple, direct form of British house that sits at the intersection of tech house, percussive grooves and a more soulful melodic sensibility. Raised in a music-oriented family, they craft their tracks and DJ sets in a club-focused register that moves between vocal house, drier rhythms and textures designed for the dancefloor, without limiting themselves to a single label. Murphy's Law (UK) first drew attention with a string of releases on labels such as Kaluki, Deeperfect, Bamboleo and Ministry of Sound/Sony, and through a steady presence on the British and European house and tech house circuits. The name Murphy's Law also circulated via plays on BBC Radio 1 and support from club DJs like Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Eats Everything and Archie Hamilton. Between productions and performances, Murphy's Law continues a trajectory linked to contemporary house scenes, favouring groove, rhythmic efficiency and an open approach to the club format.
