ATLiens

Formed in Atlanta, Georgia, ATLiens operates in the dubstep and bass music field with a dark, dense, and frequently futuristic aesthetic. The duo broke through in the mid-2010s with the track 'Chief', widely circulated on the American electronic scene, before following up with productions marked by abrasive bass, broken rhythms, and tension-building work inherited from trap and festival sound design. ATLiens also develops a visually immediately recognizable identity, based on metallic masks and extraterrestrial imagery that accompanies their live performances without overshadowing the music. Over the years, the project has circulated on major bass stages in the United States and Australia, with tours such as Abduction Tour and Space Cult Tour, while multiplying solo releases and collaborations. In 2017, ATLiens released 'Interlock' with Bassnectar on OWSLA, then continued with several singles before releasing Invasion EP in 2018, which gathers notably 'Malfunction', 'Witch Doctor', and 'Interstellar'. Since then ATLiens has been part of a contemporary dubstep vein that blends frontal impact, aggressive electronic textures, and science-fiction atmospheres.
