Annika Wells

Straddling alternative pop and electronic music, Annika Wells has built a career as a singer-songwriter at the crossroads of EDM and contemporary American pop. Born in Sleepy Hollow, California and based in Los Angeles, she first made a name for herself as a topline vocalist and singer for electronic producers, notably through several collaborations with Illenium that sit between future bass and melodic pop. At the same time she has developed a personal repertoire characterized by catchy vocal lines, expansive choruses and electronically tinged, slightly melancholic productions. Her songs examine relationships, hesitations and everyday contradictions with direct, sometimes ironic writing, in an aesthetic that moves between bedroom pop and current radio formats.
